The Witch

A witch’s magical abilities originate from drawing upon their internal energy and interweaving it with the energy from their surroundings. Those who practice this art specialize in rituals, where incantations, supplemented by symbols, herbs, aromas, crystals, and objects of meaning, express the witch’s magical will into the world through the form of a spell, ability, magic item, or potion.

Coven of the Hedge

Found beyond the hedge of villages and hamlets, these self-taught, solitary witches are skilled in herbal lore. They often act as the sole source of magic, whether it be through potions or items, for those in need of their natural abilities. Those who join the Coven of the Hedge often prefer to live in isolation, instead making allies with the surrounding enchanted flora and fauna. They are able to draw on the collective teachings of their coven to call upon the power of magically-enhanced plants and beasts to act as their familiars, entrap their foes, and create enhanced witch’s crafts.

Coven of the Spiritcaller

Forlorn calls from beyond the grave find open ears in the Coven of the Spirit Caller. These ritualists call upon woeful souls to haunt their foes, draw upon ancient knowledge, answer questions long unheard, and defend them when in mortal peril. Witches of this coven concern themselves with the eerie corners of the world, from spooky mansions to cursed battlefields, as they seek out lost specters and tormented phantoms. These otherworldly channelers are often thought to be haunted, as their connection to the spirit world has left a ghastly imprint on their minds and bodies.

Coven of War

Witches of this coven have created a collective of powerful ritualists - casters who turn the battlefield into their own ritual circle. Those who draw from the group’s magical teaching learn to harness the powers of war and destruction to buttress their allies and decimate their foes. They can be found on battlefields across the multiverse, patiently waiting for unsuspecting enemies to step beyond their scrivened lines, only for a sense of all-consuming fear to dawn on them   when it is too late. When combat begins, they affect their enemies with debilitating hexes before wading into battle, armed with ritual-enhanced weapons, ready to engage those who have not already fled in terror.
